(regarding our collective shows/performance events) These gatherings typically involve performances and activist ideas from collective members and allies. This an evolving list of genres/mediums covered so far. All are presented as performance art/music shows or spoken arts readings. Genres/mediums exhibited thus far; experimental, folk, punk, noise, thrash, hardcore, grindcore, solo performance, lo-fi, spoken word, poetry/prose readings, narratives/anecdotal presentations, activism discussions/info. sharing, and visual art. More genres and multimedia disciplines will be covered in the future.
(regarding leah b.) Performances are derived from home-spun booklets/zines/and volumes entitled "--- and Her Brain " & "---and Our Brains". Years of suppression and anguish leading to an inevitable coming out process, various opinions, and some theories are all depicted through numerous free-verse poetry/prose pieces, rapid sketches, and disposable camera photography. Live performance readings are rather emotionally charged and include spoken outpourings and layered vocalization. Musical performances consist of heavy musical fragments and raw wordings birthed from a duo band project (see EX. By V. link on the first page).
